I have a brand new non-fiction post at the SFWA blog: “10 Hands-On Tips For Writing Flash Fiction”. This is one of the first times I’ve had a non-fiction piece published that contains writing advice, and I want to stress right out of the gate that these are tips, not rules. As with any writing, you do what works for you. However, these tips include ways to think about flash fiction as you write it, ways of whittling down your word count if needed, and ways to keep your stories within the flash fic bounds.

Huge thanks to the team at the Blog for accepting my pitch for this column, and for being excellent to work with!
