My dark fantasy story “It’s Easy To Shoot A Dog” is now free to read online in Beneath Ceaseless Skies #260. It’s a story about a girl, a dog, a witch, a musket, and some questionable decisions.
Huge thanks to BCS editor Scott H. Andrews for helping me polish this story. It’s a strange, dark, twisted tale and for a while I wondered if it was too dark and strange. Certainly, the protagonist, Susanna, isn’t exactly easy to like… But Scott believed in the story, just like he believed in my dark, strange story “The Root Cellar”. It’s such a thrill to be published in Beneath Ceaseless Skies: it’s one of my favourite zines as a reader, which makes it even sweeter to be part of it.
