My story “The Guitar Hero” is in the new issue of Kaleidotrope – and I am just so darn happy to be part of this issue that also includes stories and poetry by Gwendolyn Kiste, Karin Terebessy, Mary Alexandra Agner, Charlotte Ashley, WC Roberts, T.D. Walker, and Jennifer Crow.
And that artwork! WOW. It’s by Toe Keen, and I absolutely LOVE it.
My story “The Guitar Hero” is about rock and roll, guitars, and two middle-aged women fighting evil (or is it?) backstage. (They are either a two-bit Scooby Doo gang, or a three-bit Scooby Doo gang – they can’t quite agree.) It also features a small cameo by Robert Plant, and guitarist Graham Greene helped me out with some guitar-solo related dialogue.
So grateful to Kaleidotrope for giving this story such an excellent home!
