Yes, it is definitely awards season in the realm of speculative fiction. Meaning: there are lots of books and stories to add to your TBR-pile. This is a link-list for the books and stories nominated for the Nebula Awards, handed out by SFWA.
The Nebula Awards® are voted on, and presented by, active members of Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, Inc. Founded as the Science Fiction Writers of America in 1965 by Damon Knight, the organization began with a charter membership of 78 writers; it now has over 1,500 members, among them many of the leading writers of science fiction and fantasy.
You’ll probably notice some overlap with the list of Hugo Awards finalists, but there are also several stories and books that differ between the two lists. TONS of good work here by some fantastic authors! Get reading! (As I did with the Hugos, my focus is on the books and stories. Check out the full list of nominated works at SFWA!)
