October was another fun and busy month for me. Here’s what happened:
I spent a wonderful weekend at The Surrey International Writer’s Festival.

It really was an amazing event, and I hope to be able to attend next year too. I learned a whole lot about writing from amazing people like Cat Rambo, Daniel José Older, and Mary Robinette Kowal.
My poem ‘Stories Beneath The Skylight’ was published at The Lorelei Signal.
It’s the first time in a long while that I’ve had any poetry published, so this was really exciting. Huge thanks to Carol Hightshoe, editor of The Lorelei Signal, for giving my poem a good home. And that beautiful artwork! Thanks so much to the artist Lee Ann Barlow for creating that.
A new short story in a new anthology
The new anthology ‘Just Desserts’ from Wolfsinger Publications is now available from Amazon and Smashwords! It includes my story ‘Seven Kinds of Baked Goods’ – a fantasy tale of revenge, a tea shop, enchanted weapons, and yes, a lot of baked goods. (I really LOVE that cover!)
A very nice review of ‘Scent’

My story ‘The Demon’ appeared on R.B. Wood’s dark and twisted Halloween edition of the Word Count Podcast.
It’s always a pleasure to be part of this podcast: my participation in it has been one of the highlights of the year for me.
